LegacyCuts, a family-run business based in Austin, Texas, was born out of creativity, craftsmanship, and resilience during uncertain times. What started in 2020 as a high school side hustle quickly grew into a full-time business when Om Patel and his brother Kishan turned their passion for laser engraving into a way to support their family during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their artfully engraved tumblers quickly caught attention for their quality and unique designs, helping LegacyCuts build a reputation grounded in heart, hustle, and a love for meaningful craftsmanship.

Now in college, Om and Kishan embarked on new paths, and with shifting priorities, they had to make the thoughtful decision to hand off LegacyCuts to someone who could keep the heart alive and the values that have defined the brand from the beginning—exceptional service, quality, and creativity. In 2025, they chose Marty and Beatriz Lacey, longtime family friends, who are now proudly continuing the LegacyCuts mission with the same passion, craftsmanship, and community spirit that sparked it all.

Marty, a retired emergency services professional, has spent years pouring passion into his lifelong hobby—his welding and craftsman shop. With a natural talent for working with both metal and wood, he brings a hands-on, craftsman’s touch to everything he creates. His wife, Beatriz, an industrial designer, shares his passion and skills for making things that are not only functional but truly unique.

Together, they continue to pour their energy into LegacyCuts, keeping the brand’s mission alive: creating high-quality, personalized products that tell a story and bring joy to the community.
